Dementia impacts on the people closest to and most involved in the daily living and support of those living with dementia. This impact occurs regardless of whether you are a partner, a daughter, a sibling, or a child. It is often reported by primary carers that dementia changes the dynamic of their relationship with the person living with dementia. Many carers report feeling socially isolated, increased stress, a lack of confidence, and can often express a lack of understanding about dementia. However, there are services out there to support you and the person living with dementia through this journey. If you’d like more information on the support services we can offer you here at Town Break, check out our Services page for a full description. We also have links to some of our local Stirling partners who can help you access other relevant support services which can help you through this journey. These can be found on our dementia information page.
